In May 2017, the Free State of Bavaria developed a comprehensive concept with the BAYERN Digital II master plan (predecessor of the DigitalPakt), which focused primarily on the digitalization of schools.

Since then, IK-T has been providing professional support for rural districts, municipalities, and private institutions in the design, tendering, and implementation of a stable digital infrastructure in the field of network, information, and audiovisual technology.

Tailor-made digital equipment and sufficient interfaces for future-proof further development are of enormous importance for public clients. This is the only way that municipalities can react quickly and flexibly to new challenges, such as maintaining operations in times of crisis, for example during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, customized service and maintenance concepts/contracts (EVB-IT contracts) can reduce costs, simplify administrative tasks, or, in the best case, automate them completely. The resources freed up as a result can therefore be put to good use elsewhere.

To support you in dealing with the complexity of these tasks and with the requirements of funding programs, such as the DigitalPakt, as well as with the fail-safe preparation of tender documents, IK-T offers individual services tailored to your requirements.

As part of the BAYERN Digital II and DigitalPakt Schule school funding programs (2019 to 2024), IK-T helped to ensure that a total of around 500 schools from 140 public authorities have so far been able to take advantage of the benefits mentioned above. Targeted investments, consideration of the existing IT, and forward-looking advice have created a basis for progressive education that optimally prepares students for the challenges of the digital world, regardless of their social and economic background.

We have also provided similar support to numerous public authorities in relation to planning and equipping public buildings, such as town halls, plenary halls, and data centers.
