Concept

Above all we emphasise a clear and cogent arrangement of the individual concept phases which, in the preparatory stage, will be discussed with our clients with regard to the width and depths of contents. It allows optimum control of your network development project and a secure decision making.

Network conception

The network conception is subdivided in a traffic analysis and, based on it, a network modelling. The assessment of existing and future application profiles and, for example, their classification according to types of traffic (QoS classes) and redundancy requirements are the starting point for a traffic analysis. From the prognosis of traffic streams per type of traffic between source and drain, traffic matrices can be defined which will serve as basis for network calculations when doing network modelling. For this purpose several network alternatives are conceived, and the computed characteristics (number of edges, edge length, network availability, system performance …) are analysed, and in due consideration of commercial criteria an optimal network structure is defined.

Detail planning

Detail planning is subdivided in network element engineering and network security. Based on the optimum network concept and the determined types of traffic the function-related requirements concerning the necessary network elements are fixed (compliance lists) and a dimensioning of the systems is defined.

Furthermore IK-T offers the option of network simulations to appraise – as objective as possible – the performance related to quality and optimum resource usage of the planned network or the individual connections. In this respect, capacity utilization of links and nodes, packet delay and availability are important quality parameters.

Implementation

Detail planning facilitates a price enquiry under comparable technical and commercial conditions, price transparency and the compliance with specific characteristics. We are using adequate tendering procedures, in accordance with the volume of the planned project and, if requested, with professional project management support.
